Food & Drink

We offer food that is truly represents the region. The food on offer is mainly malabar style dishes that are integral to the regional identity. Giri Chechi cooks everything fresh with her years of knowledge. She is a very instinktive cook that measures by eye and produces truly phenomenal Keralan cuisine.

She can cook for spatial needs and tastes so please let us know if you would like to try something else. We strive to provide you with a memorable holiday and fulfill your special requests.

Giri Chechi has been living and working in beach area for almost her whole life. She is now an integral part of the ARU'S Beach Home Family 

Breakfast

Tropical Fruits:

Bite sized chunks of locally and seasonally available fruits ranging from melons, Pineapple, bananas, jackfruit, Mangos and may more. ​

​

Eggs and Toast:

Eggs sunny side up, scrambled with tost bead.

​

Payam Porichade:

Ripe Plantain caramelised with clarified butter, ​coconut, raisins and cashewnuts. 

​

Nool Putt with Kadala Curry:

Steamed ground rice noodles with coconut shavings and mild coconut milk cure with chickpeas.

​

Puttu with Kadala Curry:

Steamed ground rice cakes with coconut shavings and mild coconut milk cure with chickpeas.

​

Puris with Baji Curry:

Airy fried bread with a creamy potato curry.

Pathil with Thakali Curry or Mutta Curry:

Airy fried bread made with a rice dough and fresh tomato curry with a option for Eggs on the side.

Backed flatbread made from Wholegrain wheat.

Ghee Rice:

Special aromatic Long-grain rice with clarified butter and warm spices.

Parboiled Rice:

Simpel Nutritional traditional rice rich in vitamin B and potassium.

Kerala Porota:

Flaky layered bread that is made of wheat dough.

Fish/Prawn/Squid/Mussels Fry:

Locally sourced Seafood marinated in traditional spices and cooked in coconut oil.

Fish/Prawn/Squid/Mussels Curry:
Fish slow cooked in a coconut milk spice sause.

Kozhi Curry:

Chicken on the bones slow cooked in a coconut milk spice sause.

Fish / Chicken / Vegetable Biriyani:
Special aromatic Long-grain rice with clarified butter and warm spices and slow cooked fish, chicken or Vegetables.
